1. Do I have to participate in the adventure activities?
Not at all. All movement or outdoor elements are completely optional. Our Moto is “challenge by choice.” This retreat is about supporting your personal evolution, not pushing you past your authentic edges. We offer gently guided adventures (like a multi-waterfall hike, tree climbing, and repelling down rocks) as invitations to connect more deeply with the natural world and your own vitality — but you choose how you engage.
2. How fit do I need to be for this retreat?
You don’t need to be an athlete to attend. If you enjoy being outdoors, are able to walk moderate trails with incline, and are open to light movement, you’ll be fine (There are different levels of engagement for all of the activities). The most important thing is that you feel healthy and mobile in your body. That said, if you are an adventurer at heart, there will be opportunities to lean in a little more — always with support and never with pressure.
3. Will there be downtime or personal space?
Yes. Integration and personal reflection are essential parts of this experience. We intentionally weave spaciousness into the flow of each day so you have time to rest, journal, take a nap in a hammock, or simply be in the beauty of the land. This retreat is not about constant doing, it’s about soul-deep presence and aligned expansion.
4. What’s the climate like at the retreat locations?
Chakra is nestled in the Costa Rican cloud forest, where the air is fresh, temperatures are mild (think 18–24°C / 65–75°F), and it can feel misty or cool in the evenings — bring cozy layers. At La Cusinga on the Pacific coast, expect warm, tropical beach weather (around 28–32°C / 82–90°F) with stunning ocean breezes. The shift between these two magical environments is part of the alchemy of this journey.
5. How many people will be on this retreat?
This is an intimate, high-touch immersion with a maximum of 10 women. This ensures deeply personalized support, sacred sisterhood, and space for your unique process to be witnessed and honored. You’ll be held — not herded.
6. Are there single rooms available?
All accommodations will be shared with one other woman. We’ve found that this often leads to beautiful bonds, heartfelt conversations, and meaningful shared moments. If you're attending with a friend, let us know and we’ll pair you. Otherwise, we’ll match you intuitively with someone aligned.
7. Do I have to be a yogi (or even like yoga)?
Not at all. This retreat isn’t about how flexible you are, it’s about how connected you are willing to become. Our morning movement sessions draw from yoga, somatic practices, Chi Gong, and nervous system regulation techniques, all offered gently and accessibly to support you in landing in your body and opening to presence. No yoga experience required, and everything is invitational.
8. What is the community project we’ll be part of?
As part of our time together, you’ll have the opportunity to give back to the local village near Chakra. On our final day in the cloud forest, we’ll spend 2–3 hours offering our energy in a simple yet powerful act of service, whether that’s painting the community center, tending a garden, supporting a women’s co-op, or helping in the recycling depot. You won’t just visit this land, you’ll leave a loving imprint. This is about reciprocity, respect, and real connection with the people and place that host us (bring some clothes you don’t mind getting dirty).
